PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Seyran Zeynalabdinov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Denke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zeynalabdinov comes to the cage accompanied by Saku. Denke has chosen Runnin With The Devil as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Seyran Zeynalabdinov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 35 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Karl Denke!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zeynalabdinov keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Denke.
Denke throws a front kick that sends Zeynalabdinov stumbling back into the cage.
A slow jab from Zeynalabdinov misses its intended target.
Denke digs a good body shot into Zeynalabdinov's ribs.

Zeynalabdinov scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Denke avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Zeynalabdinov.
Denke has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Zeynalabdinov is working away from the top position though.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Zeynalabdinov lands a nice short elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Denke keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Zeynalabdinov is nestled in close to Denke, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Zeynalabdinov stalling away here and it's allowed Denke to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Denke controls Zeynalabdinov momentarily but Zeynalabdinov frees himself.
Denke can't keep his opponent in guard - Zeynalabdinov advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Zeynalabdinov seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Denke tries to get to full guard but Zeynalabdinov has control of the leg.
Denke is still trying to improve position.

Denke is not content to let Zeynalabdinov control the position.

Zeynalabdinov works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Denke is trying to control Zeynalabdinov's posture but Zeynalabdinov avoids it.
Denke is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Zeynalabdinov is staying active.

Zeynalabdinov is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Denke is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Denke is looking for a sweep.

Zeynalabdinov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Denke keeps working.
Zeynalabdinov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Zeynalabdinov throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Denke to counter with a crisp jab.
Denke shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Zeynalabdinov as he jumps to the side.
Zeynalabdinov listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Seyran Zeynalabdinov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Denke loads up on a big right hand but Zeynalabdinov slips the punch.
Denke works Zeynalabdinov's body with a nice hook.
Zeynalabdinov throws out a loose jab but Denke uses good head movement to avoid it.
Denke misses with a looping left.
Zeynalabdinov slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Zeynalabdinov scores with the left hand. Denke knows he should have avoided that one.
Zeynalabdinov goes for a double leg but Denke avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Denke continues to drive forward.
Zeynalabdinov has been working on his balance at Men of Mayhem (1 TPL, 6 DBL, 5 SGL)(55 member cap), so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Denke.
Denke struggles to land a body shot inside as Zeynalabdinov controls his hands.
A nice left hand lands by Zeynalabdinov.

Zeynalabdinov blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Zeynalabdinov prevents the takedown attempt.
Denke lands a nice uppercut.

Zeynalabdinov is fighting off a takedown attempt but Denke is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Zeynalabdinov to the mat. Zeynalabdinov regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Denke seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Denke trying to control the position from guard on top but Zeynalabdinov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Zeynalabdinov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Denke is one step ahead there.

Denke has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Zeynalabdinov to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Denke is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Zeynalabdinov pulls down on the head and he's put Denke to sleep! This one is all over!
