PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hard Hitter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Momo Sy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sy comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Kamala Theme kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sy throws a right hand that Hitter ducks under and follows up with a left that Hitter also avoids with ease.
Donk. Hitter catches Sy right on the button with a cross.
Hitter throws an off balance right hand
and Sy counters with a left to the body.
Sy has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Hitter throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sy throws a head kick but Hitter moves out of range.
Hitter misses with a hook.
Hitter throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sy sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Sy misses with a wild combination.
Sy lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hitter circles away quickly and effectively.
Hitter slips a jab and a cross from Sy.
Hitter misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hitter takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Hitter lands a body shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Sy tries to score with a low kick but Hitter moves his leg out of the way.
Sy is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Hitter fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Hitter misses with a series of wild punches.
Hitter sizes up Sy with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Hitter swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hitter uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Sy.
Hitter lands a slapping body shot.
Hitter ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sy moves away.
Sy scoring well with a low kick there.
Sy keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hitter.

and Hitter counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Sy lands with a nice combination. Hitter backs away looking to recover.
Hitter swats away the attempt to clinch by Sy.
Sy looks to land a left hand but Hitter moved out of range nicely.

Hitter misses with a body shot.
Hitter seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Hitter stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Hitter is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hitter drops Sy with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Sy! Hitter dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

After winning the bout, Hard Hitter thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
