The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James connects with a leg kick. Desormeaux looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
James takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Desormeaux leaves James with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
James throws a right and a left that Desormeaux avoids nicely.

Desormeaux decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Desormeaux is keen to just control but James is a slippery customer.

Desormeaux has hold of James's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and James manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That was a close second round but I would say that James James will probably get the nod.

That's time! James's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Desormeaux shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts James as he jumps to the side.
Desormeaux feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to James's calf.

James got a little sloppy there for a moment and Desormeaux has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, James has managed to get both his arms back between Desormeaux's legs - danger averted.

Well Desormeaux has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
