Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cordell Joseph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rauno Tynkkynen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Rauno Tynkkynen was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Cordell Joseph!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rauno Tynkkynen!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joseph wants to clinch.

Joseph moves into the clinch successfully.
A frustrated look appears on Tynkkynen's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Tynkkynen has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Joseph regains guard immediately.
Joseph wants to control the position but Tynkkynen says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Joseph is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Tynkkynen's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Tynkkynen's back!

Joseph is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Joseph gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Joseph gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Joseph apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Joseph closes the distance looking to clinch
and Tynkkynen counters with a left and a right that stings Joseph.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Joseph tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Tynkkynen counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Tynkkynen.

Tynkkynen has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Joseph regains guard immediately.
Tynkkynen wants to stand but Joseph is controlling his posture from full guard.
Joseph looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Tynkkynen stands and steps away. Joseph gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Tynkkynen clinches with his opponent.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Joseph controlling the action here for a moment.

Tynkkynen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Joseph tries to clinch but Tynkkynen moves away
and Tynkkynen counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Joseph! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Tynkkynen!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rauno Tynkkynen!
During a confident post fight interview, Rauno Tynkkynen thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
