Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shake Roberts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nisse Indian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roberts kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Maps - Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Indian comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Down - Hail The Leaf kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Shake Roberts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Nisse Indian!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Nard Betker and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Indian throws an overhand right that lands on Roberts's shoulder, as Roberts tries to avoid the shot.
Roberts steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Indian.
Indian avoids a kick to the body.
Roberts looks to score with a jab to the body but Indian is just out of range.
Indian swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Roberts throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Indian looks to land a combination but Roberts avoids it well.
Indian jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Roberts misses with a leg kick.
Indian misses with a series of wild punches.
A slow jab from Roberts misses its intended target.
Roberts takes a swing at Indian's ribcage but misses.
Roberts looks to score with a jab to the body but Indian is just out of range.
Roberts throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Indian counters with a nice low kick that buckles Roberts's knee momentarily.
Roberts does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

A clash of legs there as Indian blocks the low kick.
Roberts lunges at Indian with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Indian's hand.


It looks like Nisse Indian has been cut.
Roberts tests Indian's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Indian has Roberts up against the cage in a clinch.
Indian looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Roberts has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Indian uses from the top position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Indian got a little sloppy there for a moment and Roberts has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Indian has managed to get both his arms back between Roberts's legs - danger averted.
Indian is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Roberts is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Roberts escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Indian gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Roberts controls Indian momentarily but Indian frees himself.

Roberts looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Indian passes into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Indian wants to stand but Roberts is controlling his arm.
Roberts is not content to let Indian control the position.
Indian misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Indian avoids the strikes from the bottom by Roberts.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Indian wants to control but Roberts is keeping him busy.
Roberts tries to improve position but can't.
We've been hearing good reports from Roberts's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Indian wants to stand but Roberts has his arm trapped.

Indian gets to mount! Roberts was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Indian is looking to stand but Indian has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Roberts throws a low kick but it's checked well by Indian.
Roberts looks to land a body kick but Indian moved away.
Roberts takes one to the chin there.
Roberts throws out a loose jab but Indian uses good head movement to avoid it.
A low kick from Roberts is predictable there
letting Indian counter with a right hand.
Roberts throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Roberts lands a head kick!
The fighters circling - Roberts throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Indian misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The fight stays on the outside here - Indian looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Roberts.

Indian tries to clinch up.
Indian scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Nice defenses there by Indian.
Roberts throws a lazy head kick
and Indian counters with a slapping leg kick.

Indian instigates a clinch.
Indian trying to stall but Roberts improves his position.

Roberts escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Roberts looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Shake Roberts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A swing and a miss from Roberts.
Roberts fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Indian is out of range.

Indian closes the distance and pushes Roberts back into the cage.

Roberts is leaning against Indian and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

Roberts misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Roberts working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Indian goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Roberts presses Indian against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Indian misses with a short punch on the inside.
Roberts is trying to stall.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Roberts wants the takedown. Indian is fighting it off but Roberts persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Indian's guard against the cage.
Indian is looking to stand up but Roberts isn't so interested in that idea.
Indian is trying to keep Roberts in close.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Indian is on top in guard.
Roberts wants to control but Indian passes easily into half guard.
Indian tries to pass to full mount but Roberts defends it.
Roberts tries to get to full guard but Indian has control of the leg.

Roberts gets full guard.
Indian controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Roberts looking for a sweep. Not yet Roberts, not yet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Roberts is trying to control the position but Indian postures up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Indian has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Roberts is proving hard to escape from.

Roberts escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Indian gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Roberts takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Indian scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Indian throws a big shot that misses.
Roberts throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Indian sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Indian displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Roberts throws out the jab.
Some bone on bone action there as Indian checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Roberts throws a leg kick but Indian moved away.
Indian wants to clinch up but Roberts keeps it at a distance.
Indian fails with an attempt to clinch.
Roberts avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Indian blocks a leg kick.
Roberts defending well as Indian loads up on a big left hand.
Roberts wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Roberts throws a jab but it's blocked by Indian.
Roberts throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Roberts throws a lazy head kick
and Indian counters with a thumping low kick.
Roberts takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
A nice leg kick lands there from Roberts.
Indian uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Roberts.
Decent striking displayed by Indian there.
Indian avoids a punch combination nicely.
Indian fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Roberts manages to avoid it.

Indian connects with a right hand. Roberts shakes it off.
Indian throws a body punch but Roberts moves out of range.
Shake Roberts is winning the standup battle so far.
A punch lands to the side of Indian 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Roberts throws a head kick but Indian moves out of range.
Roberts throws a quick inside leg kick.
Nisse Indian is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Roberts lands a glancing blow to the side of Indian's head.


Indian is rocked!
Roberts throws an uppercut from hell that sends Indian clean off his feet! He's out cold! Roberts stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Shake Roberts!
Shake Roberts decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
