Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aminu Slice!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Donnie Felterbush!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slice misses with a body shot.
Felterbush shoots in for a double leg but Slice sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Felterbush fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Slice to the ground. Felterbush is now in Slice's guard.
Slice controlling Felterbush's posture.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Felterbush lands a couple of digs.
It looks like Aminu Slice has been cut.
Felterbush controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Felterbush postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Slice looking for a guillotine here but Felterbush defends easily.
Slice on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Slice tries to get out of the position.
Felterbush postures up in Slice's guard and throws a big left but Slice blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Felterbush lands a couple of digs.
Felterbush landing with the ground and pound.
Felterbush chips away with some ground and pound.
Slice working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Felterbush doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Felterbush manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Felterbush has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Hey Steve's Fight Shack. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Felterbush is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Slice can't keep his opponent in guard - Felterbush advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Felterbush slips a nice elbow through Slice's hands, connecting with Slice's forehead.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Felterbush performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Felterbush winds up and cracks Slice with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Aminu Slice's cut is getting worse.
Felterbush looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Slice is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Felterbush slips a nice elbow through Slice's hands, connecting with Slice's forehead.
Jeez, Aminu Slice's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Aminu Slice's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Donnie Felterbush!
During a confident post fight interview, Donnie Felterbush thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
The defeated Aminu Slice had this to say: ' well uhh... we took the risk and yeah we lost but at least I've learned my lesson. Don't fuck with a guy who has sensational wrestling! Peace!'.
