Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul Ming (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicklas Berg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nicklas Berg is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Ming!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Nicklas Berg!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Ackerman and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ming will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Berg has his takedown stuffed
and Ming counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Berg shoots in and drives through. Ming sprawls well.

Berg decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Berg content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Ming on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ming tries to get out of the position.
Ming is looking to control Berg's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ming avoid being mounted?
Berg wants to free his trapped foot but Ming is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Berg is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Ming tries to kick Berg off in order to stand up. Berg Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Ming knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Berg on the ground.

Ming tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Berg presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Berg slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Ming has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ming tries to escape but Berg has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Ming is trying to get back to his feet but Berg has full control of the position and if anything, Ming has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Berg has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Ming's body.

Ming is trying to stand back up.
Ming looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Berg is looking to control Ming but Ming is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Ming is trying to get back to his feet but Berg has full control of the position and if anything, Ming has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Our spies down at at RYSE GYM inform us that Berg has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

You can see the frustration on Ming's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ming prevents Berg from getting a body triangle.

Ming tries to roll but Berg sticks to his back.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Berg wants to control but Ming is keeping busy.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Berg looking to break Ming's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Ming remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Berg will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nicklas Berg dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Berg takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Berg closes the distance and clinches up with Ming, looking for a takedown. Berg pushes Ming against the cage but Ming circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Berg gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Berg moves to clinch but Ming breaks away
and Ming makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Berg shoots for a double leg takedown but Ming sprawls well. He's pushed Berg's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Ming scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.


Berg is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ming working the ground and pound but Berg is defending the strikes.
Berg is still in real trouble! Can Ming finish him?
Nicklas Berg has got the better of the ground game so far.
Ming scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Berg is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Ming can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paul Ming!
A relieved looking Paul Ming thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
