The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zuckerkorn fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ward manages to avoid it.
Ward shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Zuckerkorn's corner calls for a 1-2. Zuckerkorn obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

It looks like Blake Ward has been cut.
Ward has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Zuckerkorn circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ward fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Zuckerkorn manages to avoid it.
We've been told by Zuckerkorn's head coaches at Hey Steve's Fight Shack that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Blake Ward seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ward throws a right hand that Zuckerkorn ducks under and follows up with a left that Zuckerkorn also avoids with ease.
Ward missing with a left hand there. Zuckerkorn was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Ward doesn't manage to clinch there - Zuckerkorn circles away.
Zuckerkorn ducks under a wild hook from Ward.
Zuckerkorn comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Zuckerkorn drops Ward with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Ward! Zuckerkorn dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
