Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Steve Pick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Michael Galustyan!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Daniel Blasius and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Galustyan shoots for a double leg takedown but Pick sprawls well. He's pushed Galustyan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Pick closes the distance and pushes Galustyan back into the cage.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Pick creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
A right hook to the body lands for Pick.
Pick content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Galustyan has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Pick avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Galustyan looks up at the clock and then as Pick takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Galustyan smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Galustyan creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Pick sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Galustyan advances to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Galustyan goes for an armbar but Pick turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Pick.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pick buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Galustyan shoots in but no luck this time.

and Galustyan counters with a three punch combo that has Pick backing up. Pick nods at Galustyan to acknowledge the strikes.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pick dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Galustyan. That did some damage!

Pick throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Galustyan sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Pick pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Galustyan back to the cage. Pick follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Pick leaves Galustyan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Galustyan shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Galustyan showed some decent athleticism there.

Michael Galustyan is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Steve Pick.
I think Galustyan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
