Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Warwick Martigan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and IP Freely (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martigan comes to the cage accompanied by Safety Dance. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Warwick Martigan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Martigan has managed to clinch.

Freely tries for a takedown but Martigan manages to get underhooks.
Freely being controlled against the cage.
Freely lands a shoulder strike.
Martigan lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Freely has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Freely has had enough of the clinch but Martigan keeps him there for the moment.

Freely tries for a takedown but Martigan manages to get underhooks.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Martigan.
Martigan goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Martigan is pressed up against the cage. Freely has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Martigan down to the mat. Martigan avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Warwick Martigan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of IP Freely.

Freely moves forwards but Martigan connects with a nice, crisp jab.

We've been told by Martigan's head coaches at Hey Steve's Fight Shack that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Martigan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Freely manages to avoid it.
Freely on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Martigan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Martigan wants it to stay on the feet.

and Martigan counters with a left and a right that stings Freely.

Freely seems to have recovered his senses.
Martigan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Freely.
Martigan drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Martigan drops Freely with a beautiful combination! Freely stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Martigan is looking for the KO!
Martigan circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Freely to the canvas! Freely doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Martigan keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

A very excited looking Warwick Martigan rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
