Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pierre Laprise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Elliott Stanley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stanley has chosen Terror - One with the Underdogs as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanley closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
We've been hearing reports that Laprise has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Laprise takes an elbow to the temple.
It looks like Pierre Laprise has been cut.
Stanley is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Stanley is looking to control Laprise's arms but Laprise gets an underhook and turns him. Now Stanley has his back to the cage.
Laprise is working for takedown but Stanley is calmly controlling the position for now.

Stanley tries to roll over but Laprise keeps him under control.

Elliott Stanley has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Stanley lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Laprise circles away quickly and effectively.
Stanley has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Laprise is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Stanley throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Laprise's waist but Laprise gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stanley off to one side.

Stanley dives in for a single leg takedown but Laprise sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Stanley throws a body punch but Laprise moves out of range.

Stanley cracks Laprise with a right hand to the side of the head.

Laprise is desperately trying to improve his position but Stanley has a good base and remains in mount.
Stanley looking to control but Laprise is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Stanley lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Stanley is landing with some decent strikes but Laprise is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Laprise is looking to get to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Laprise wants to hold on but Stanley pushes him away.
Stanley tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Stanley is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Laprise is keeping busy.
Laprise drops down looking for an ankle pick but Stanley pulls his leg out and moves away.
Stanley gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Stanley keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Laprise dodges the punch combination from Stanley.
Stanley throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Laprise stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Stanley follows into mount!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Laprise on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Laprise tries to get out of the position.
Stanley punching from mount but Laprise doing a good job of avoiding damage.

Poor strikes thrown by Stanley there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Stanley lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Stanley pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Stanley tries to control but Laprise wriggling away.
Stanley is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Stanley! Laprise is hurt baaadly! Stanley is firing away with more strikes - Laprise is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Elliott Stanley!
