Kiuga kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Wish. Toa Kiuga could well score a knockout today. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiuga lands with a nice body punch.
Jansson with a lazy takedown attempt
and Kiuga counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Kiuga feints a jab promting Jansson to slip. Kiuga then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Jansson slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Katten Jansson has been cut.
Jansson blocks a head kick by Kiuga.
Kiuga tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Toa Kiuga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kiuga throws a body punch but Jansson moves out of range.
Jansson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kiuga manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Jansson shoots in for a takedown but Kiuga shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

and Kiuga counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Kiuga lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Toa Kiuga is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
