The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richards is looking to clinch but Marsden is avoiding it.
Richards throws a body punch but Marsden moves out of range.
Richards swings widly with a right hand
and Marsden counters with a left to the body.
Richards will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Richards throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Richards just misses with a punch to the body.
Marsden avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Richards has managed to clinch.

Marsden is looking to take this one to the mat.
Marsden has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Richards avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Marsden is trying to drag Richards to the mat but Richards just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Marsden is looking to regain half guard here but Richards keeps moving and retains side control.

Richards swings around for an armbar but Marsden sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Richards's guard.
Richards pulls Marsden in to control the position.

Richards pulls Marsden in close to prevent any damage.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Richards working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Marsden.
Richards not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Keith Richards hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Richards tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Richards is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

and Marsden counters with a shoot takedown. Richards fights it but they end up in guard.
Marsden stands and throws Richards's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Marsden drops back looking for a leg! Richards is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Richards manages to kick Marsden off! Marsden jumps back into Richards's guard.
Marsden passes into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Marsden connects with a nice short shot to Richards's temple.
Marsden is looking to advance position but Richards won't allow it.

Marsden seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Richards is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
