Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alex Reink!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dominick Guerra!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reink tries to close the distance and clinch up but Guerra swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Reink is looking to clinch but Guerra is avoiding it.
Reink wants to clinch up but Guerra keeps it at a distance.

Reink has closed the distance and engaged Guerra in a clinch.
Reink stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Reink keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Guerra's efforts to push away.
Guerra looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Reink lands an elbow that stopped Guerra in his tracks for a moment.
Guerra is trying to break free.
Guerra is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes.
Reink keeps control of Guerra as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Guerra gets a trip takedown into half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Reink trying to hold on to Guerra's head to control him but Guerra postures up.

Reink gets back to full guard.
Reink manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Reink looking to ground and pound but Guerra is blocking nicely.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Guerra can do anything to dispel that myth.
Guerra is trying to escape the mount.
Reink raining down shots from the mount!
Reink won't let Guerra get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Reink throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Reink has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Reink in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Poor strikes thrown by Reink there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Reink thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Guerra is trying to escape the mount.
Reink throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Guerra is working to get back to half guard.
Reink thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Reink definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Reink goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Guerra turns into him and now he's in Reink's guard.

Guerra wants to pass the guard but Reink is keeping the position.
Guerra wants to stand and escape but instead Reink has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Guerra has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Reink has passed into side control.
Guerra is trying to improve his position.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Reink wants to take a breather but Guerra manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Reink.
Reink working some strikes from top position.
Reink postures up in Guerra's guard and throws a big left but Guerra blocks it.
Reink stands up over Guerra, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Reink throwing strikes but missing.
Guerra really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reink. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Reink trying to control the position from guard on top but Guerra is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Reink throwing strikes from guard but Guerra blocks nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Alex Reink dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.


Guerra keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Guerra checks the leg kick nicely there.
Reink swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Reink tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Guerra connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Reink is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Guerra misses with a looping right.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Reink shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Guerra sprawls well. Guerra wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Reink gets slowly back to his feet.
Alex Reink seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Reink tries to close the distance and clinch but Guerra swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Reink throws a jab when Guerra was well out of range.
Reink wants to clinch but Guerra slips to the side
and Guerra counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.


It looks like Alex Reink has been cut.
Guerra swats away the attempt to clinch by Reink.
Reink looks for a takedown but Guerra sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alex Reink. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice takedown defense from Guerra. No joy for Reink on that attempt.

Reink doesn't succeed with the takedown
letting Guerra counter with a right hand.
A punch lands to the side of Reink 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Guerra swats away the attempt to clinch by Reink.
Alex Reink is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Reink fails with an attempt to clinch.
Reink doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Guerra counters with a crisp one two that drops Reink! Guerra thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Reink to his feet! Reink is in big trouble!


Reink is rocked!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Reink tries for a takedown but Guerra circles away easily
and Guerra counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
