PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benny Diesel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diesel comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Manner - Stereo MC's kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dave Edwards!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Benny Diesel!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diesel rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Edwards moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Edwards darts in trying to clinch
and Diesel counters with a nice uppercut.
Edwards tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Diesel defends well and Edwards ends up having to push Diesel into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Diesel scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Diesel is struggling to control the position.

Diesel breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Diesel throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Edwards on the side of the head.

It looks like Dave Edwards has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Edwards drives through with a takedown into guard.
Diesel wants to stand but Edwards is controlling the position.
Diesel is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Diesel has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Edwards wants to control from the top but Diesel keeps moving.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Dave Edwards.
Diesel feints a jab and as Edwards dips his head, Diesel unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Edwards right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Edwards falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Diesel smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
