Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Morrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Van Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morrison's entrance music is Alive. A fine choice. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Kelly misses
and Morrison counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Kelly is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Morrison tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kelly paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kelly shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Morrison pinned against the cage. Morrison gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A head kick misses from Morrison.
No joy there for Kelly, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kelly takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

and Kelly counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kelly.
Morrison tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Morrison wants to stall.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Van Kelly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Morrison is looking for a sweep. Kelly is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Tommy Morrison.
Kelly takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Kelly tries to score a power double leg takedown but Morrison sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kelly somewhat.

Morrison lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Morrison swings wildly with an uppercut but Kelly uses good head movement to avoid it.

Kelly wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Kelly swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Morrison leaves Kelly with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kelly throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Morrison's waist but Morrison gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kelly off to one side.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Morrison is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kelly wants to control from the top but Morrison keeps moving.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Morrison, as that shot connected.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Morrison, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
