Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mateus Allen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 14 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frank Rizzo Jr!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rizzo Jr has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Allen is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Rizzo Jr.

Rizzo Jr has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Rizzo Jr throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Allen on the side of the head.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rizzo Jr fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Allen has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Allen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Allen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rizzo Jr swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rizzo Jr is looking for a triangle but Allen pushes his legs off easily.
