The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick from Laiveta misses.
Laiveta moves out of range of the body kick from Cauthon.
Laiveta takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Cauthon shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Laiveta napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Cauthon throws a strike aimed at the side of Laiveta's head but Laiveta avoids it well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Laiveta can do anything to dispel that myth.

Cauthon has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Laiveta is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Cauthon yanks on the arm and Laiveta is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Cauthon.
