Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Miyamoto Musashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Charles!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Musashi closes the distance and clinches.

Musashi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Charles drives through and clinches with Musashi against the cage.
Charles lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Charles scores with a shot to the side of Musashi's head.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Charles.

Musashi escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Musashi swings widly with a right hand
and Charles counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Musashi takes one on the button.
Musashi fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Miyamoto Musashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Musashi throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Musashi feints and then cracks Charles's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Charles down.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Musashi shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Charles eats them both and turns towards Musashi to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.


It looks like David Charles has been cut.
Charles lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Musashi at a distance.
Musashi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Charles was well out of range. Poor timing from Musashi.

Musashi clinches with his opponent.
Charles lands an uppercut.
Charles throws a punch but it's blocked by Musashi.
A short right from Charles on the inside.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Charles fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
A short right from Charles.
Charles lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Musashi backwards.


Musashi is rocked!
Charles lands an uppercut.
Oh Musashi is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Musashi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Musashi looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Charles has Musashi up against the cage in a clinch.
Charles pushes Musashi against the cage. Charles is working some dirty boxing. Charles pushes off with a quick right hook! Musashi goes down! Musashi tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Charles moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Charles!
Our winner, David Charles, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
