Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eddy Maiden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jafar Mehtmeht (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Maiden might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Walk. Mehtmeht has chosen shakira - ojos asi as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Maiden counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mehtmeht won't be happy with that.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Maiden postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Maiden is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mehtmeht has escaped the position, nice work there.
Maiden will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Maiden has hold of Mehtmeht's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Mehtmeht manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Eddy Maiden.
