Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alvin Aguilar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yoshi Yakiyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aguilar comes to the cage accompanied by Drector's Cut by Kamikazee. Yakiyama comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Enya - Adiemus kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Yoshi Yakiyama!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aguilar misses the jab.

Yakiyama is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Aguilar's half guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Yakiyama working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Yakiyama prevents Aguilar from improving his position.

Yakiyama is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Aguilar's coaches at Miletich Xtreme Fighting Systems have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

Aguilar looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Aguilar won't allow Yakiyama to pass to mount.
Aguilar wants to control but Yakiyama is keeping busy.
Yakiyama content to control rather than advance.
Yakiyama is looking to take a break and control but Aguilar is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Aguilar works his way to full guard. Good work.

Aguilar is looking for a triangle but Yakiyama pushes his legs off easily.

Aguilar has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Yakiyama can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Yakiyama avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Yakiyama wants to pass the guard but Aguilar is keeping the position.

Yakiyama got a little sloppy there for a moment and Aguilar has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Yakiyama has managed to get both his arms back between Aguilar's legs - danger averted.

Aguilar wants to sweep here but Yakiyama controlling him for the moment.

Yakiyama tries to free his leg and advance position but Aguilar is retaining full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Aguilar is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Aguilar thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Aguilar passes to full mount!
Aguilar lands with some strikes.
Aguilar cracks Yakiyama with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Aguilar avoids the attempt from Yakiyama to control.
Yakiyama is bucking up trying to escape but Aguilar cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Aguilar throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Yakiyama because Aguilar loaded up on that one.

Yakiyama is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Yakiyama wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Aguilar.
Yakiyama tries to lock up and control but Aguilar gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Yakiyama is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Yakiyama takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Aguilar's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
