Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Marko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Speed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marko comes to the cage accompanied by Get Back - Ludacris. Speed has chosen Amon Tobin / El Cargo as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Speed throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Marko really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Speed uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Marko.
Marko has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Sensei Sens's & co. Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Speed throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Marko stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Marko thows a body shot but no joy.

Marko fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Speed looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Marko avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Marko wants to stand back up but Speed manages to pass into side control.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Speed working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Speed gets to mount! Marko was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Speed. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
