The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spliffton scores with a head kick. Koon tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

It looks like Dan Koon has been cut.

Koon moves into range and clinches up with Spliffton.
Koon tries to pull guard but Spliffton won't allow it.
Spliffton throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Koons head.
Spliffton works on Koon's body with a couple of short punches.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Koon is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Spliffton to keep the fight standing.
Koon jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Spliffton walks away with a smile on his face. Koon gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Koon has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Koon. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Spliffton connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Koon to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Spliffton!

A very excited looking Cron Spliffton rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
