Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Misual Lalpa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edwin Odesseiron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lalpa comes to the cage accompanied by Seek n Destroy. Odesseiron has chosen Afterworld as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Odesseiron defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lalpa.
Odesseiron throws a head kick that misses.
Lalpa doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Odesseiron counters with a nice uppercut.
Odesseiron looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Odesseiron slaps away a takedown attempt from Lalpa, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Lalpa drops back, looking for a kneebar! Odesseiron looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Odesseiron looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Odesseiron!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Lalpa isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Odesseiron stacks Lalpa on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Odesseiron!

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Misual Lalpa will probably get the nod.

Odesseiron fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lalpa has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Odesseiron lands a head kick. Lalpa smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Lalpa shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Odesseiron napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Lalpa goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Odesseiron has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Lalpa but great work by Odesseiron.
Odesseiron is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Lalpa is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Odesseiron has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Lalpa is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Odesseiron off and has taken his back!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Odesseiron is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Lalpa off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.
Lalpa is trying to stick to Odesseiron's back but Odesseiron is turning into Lalpa. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Lalpa's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Odesseiron.

Odesseiron is posturing up here but Lalpa has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Odesseiron tries to roll out but it's too tight and Odesseiron has to tap! Slick submission there by Lalpa!
