Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Michal Tarnowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wolfram Stelzer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Tarnowski might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Hemp Gru - Sami swoi . The crowd seem to be enjoying Stelzer's choice of entrance music: Satyricon - K.I.N.G.. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michal Tarnowski!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Wolfram Stelzer!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stelzer misses with a wild body shot.

Stelzer throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tarnowski was covering up waiting for the punch and Stelzer finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Stelzer pushes down on Tarnowski's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Tarnowski is doing well to control the position and prevent Stelzer from advancing to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tarnowski's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Stelzer passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Tarnowski!

Stelzer looking to control but Tarnowski is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Tarnowski is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at School Of Fighting, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Stelzer goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Tarnowski is on top in guard.
Tarnowski stays in close to Stelzer's body and controls the position.
Tarnowski tries to free his leg and advance position but Stelzer is retaining full guard.
Tarnowski looking to sit in guard and control but Stelzer gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Stelzer manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Stelzer wants to control the pace but Tarnowski is squirming around nicely.

Stelzer goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Tarnowski turns into him and now he's in Stelzer's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Stelzer holds on to Tarnowski as tight as he can, avoiding damage.
Tarnowski prevents Stelzer from getting the reversal.

Stelzer has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Tarnowski connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Stelzer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tarnowski lands a heavy elbow.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tarnowski breaks from Stelzer's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Stelzer bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Stelzer slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Michal Tarnowski will probably get the nod.

Stelzer avoids the head kick by Tarnowski.
Stelzer takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Stelzer throws out a loose jab but Tarnowski uses good head movement to avoid it.
Stelzer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Stelzer lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Tarnowski backs up against the cage.
Tarnowski thumps Stelzer with a low kick.
A nice inside leg kick there by Tarnowski. That's going to slow Stelzer down.
Stelzer moves out of range of the body kick.
Tarnowski fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Stelzer has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
The fighters circling - Stelzer throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Stelzer shoots in but no luck this time.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stelzer on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Tarnowski throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

A telegraphed right hand from Stelzer misses the target.
Stelzer tries to bum rush Tarnowski with a series of wild strikes but Tarnowski uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Stelzer misses with a straight right.
Tarnowski throws a wild body kick that Stelzer sees coming a mile off.
Michal Tarnowski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Stelzer takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Tarnowski takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Tarnowski is looking to slow Stelzer down with leg kicks.
Tarnowski swings for the body but Stelzer moves out of range.
Tarnowski throws a front kick that sends Stelzer stumbling back into the cage.
Stelzer fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tarnowski manages to avoid it.
Tarnowski keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Stelzer.
Stelzer keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Stelzer has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Tarnowski.
Sloppy strikes from Stelzer. Those never looked like landing.

Stelzer throws a big shot that misses.
A solid leg kick lands there for Tarnowski.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Stelzer bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Stelzer closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Tarnowski quickly recovers to half guard.

Tarnowski works his way to full guard. Good work.
Oh Tarnowski is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Tarnowski is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Stelzer defends well.
Stelzer passes Tarnowski's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Stelzer is breathing heavily.
Still in half guard, Stelzer seems content to control.
Tarnowski seems to have got his legs back now.

Stelzer is trying to work for a kimura but Tarnowski is defending well.

Stelzer is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Tarnowski doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Stelzer.

Tarnowski has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Stelzer is working away from the top position though.

Tarnowski trying to hold on to Stelzer's head to control him but Stelzer postures up.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Stelzer seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tarnowski does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

We're going to have a standup here because Michal Tarnowski wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Stelzer avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
A decent looking cross lands there for Tarnowski.
Wolfram Stelzer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stelzer closes this distance looking for a takedown but Tarnowski circles away.
Stelzer misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Michal Tarnowski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wolfram Stelzer.
Stelzer lands a glancing blow to the side of Tarnowski's head.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
A nice inside leg kick there by Tarnowski. That's going to slow Stelzer down.

That was a close second round but I would say that Michal Tarnowski will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


A punch lands to the side of Stelzer 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Stelzer pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Stelzer jabbing away but nothing is landing.
A jab from Tarnowski misses.
Tarnowski lands a lovely overhand right.
Tarnowski ducks under a wild hook from Stelzer.
Stelzer uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Tarnowski has time to react.
Stelzer misses with a hook. Tarnowski ducked under it nicely.
BOOM! Stelzer lands a beautiful left hook that drops Tarnowski. Tarnowski tries to recover but Stelzer is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Tarnowski lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:39 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wolfram Stelzer!

Wolfram Stelzer was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
