Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 1, fighting out of New York, Delroy Holmes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rick Rich!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, John Roberts and Reed Andrews.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Holmes finds it's way through Rich's defenses.

Holmes tries to sprawl but Rich drives through with a takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Rich wants to control but Holmes is keeping him busy.
Rich content to control rather than advance.
Rich wants to stand up but Holmes has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Rich wants to lay and pray for a moment but Holmes keeps working.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Rick Rich hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Rich closes the distance and clinches up with Holmes, looking for a takedown. Rich pushes Holmes against the cage but Holmes circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rich looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Holmes is fending him off so far but Rich persists. Nope, Holmes circles away and we're back to standing.
Holmes swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rich shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Holmes counters with a slapping leg kick.
Delroy Holmes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Rich.
Rich takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Rich gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Holmes counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Holmes scores with a decent looking hook.

Holmes lands a big head kick that sends Rich tumbling to the mat! Holmes takes a step backwards and waves Rich back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Rich is rocked!
We've been hearing reports that Holmes has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Rich is still on wobbly legs! Can Holmes finish him?
Holmes unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Rich! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Holmes is unloading with more strikes now! Rich drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
