PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yin Tao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Colin Hendry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tao comes into the arena with Philip Bailey - Walking on the Chinese Wall blaring out of the sound system. Hendry has chosen Seed - By Sublime as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tao misses with a low kick.
Tao throws a leg kick but Hendry moved away.
Tao lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hendry circles away quickly and effectively.
Hendry avoids a kick to the body.
Tao steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hendry.
Hendry has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Good leg kick by Tao there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Hendry uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Hendry slips a straight right by Tao.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hendry blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Tao tries to throw a body punch but Hendry avoids it by throwing Tao back against the cage.

It looks like Colin Hendry has been cut.
Tao has a couple of punches blocked by Hendry.
Tao throws a head punch that misses.
Hendry misses with a punch on the inside.
Hendry lands a body shot in the clinch.
Tao doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Hendry misses with a hook to the ribs.

Hendry swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Hendry lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Tao backwards.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hendry breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hendry throws a looping overhand right but Tao ducks down to avoid it.
Hendry looks to score with a jab to the body but Tao is just out of range.
Hendry walks into a stiff left hand from Tao.
Tao takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Hendry takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Tao throws a body punch but Hendry moves out of range.
Hendry jabs Tao to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Hendry misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Tao on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
A big left from Tao misses.
Hendry doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Tao darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Some bone on bone action there as Tao checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Tao gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Hendry uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tao.
Hendry lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Tao misses the shot to the body.
Hendry throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Tao on the side of the head.

Tao is rocked!
Hendry throws a shot from downtown. Tao moves away and avoids it.
Oh Tao is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hendry finds Tao's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Tao flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Hendry lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Tao will be OK.
