Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nate Kingston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaspars Daugavins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kingston comes to the cage accompanied by 2pac - I'm Soulja. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

With a record of 10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kaspars Daugavins!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kingston tries to clinch but Daugavins moves out of range.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Daugavins has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Daugavins clobbers Kingston with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Daugavins might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
No joy there for Kingston, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kingston shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Daugavins sprawls well. Daugavins wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kingston gets slowly back to his feet.

Kingston closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Daugavins to the mat! Daugavins manages to get full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Daugavins is on top in guard.

Daugavins got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kingston has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Daugavins has managed to get both his arms back between Kingston's legs - danger averted.
