The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vidal closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Assambad wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Vidal unloads with some shots from mount but Assambad bucks and avoids them well.
Assambad avoids a series of strikes thrown by Vidal.

Vidal is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Assambad is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Assambad flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Vidal anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Assambad and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Vidal slips an arm under Assambad chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Vidal has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Vidal is squeezing on Assambad like an anaconda would it's prey. Assambad fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
