Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 wins, 28 losses and 1 draws, fighting out of London, Billy Riley!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.



The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams slaps away a takedown attempt from Riley, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Williams just misses with a punch to the body.
Riley bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Billy Riley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Riley closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Riley lands in his opponent's guard.
Riley wants to control from the top but Williams keeps moving.

Riley is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Williams is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Williams has escaped and now he's on top!
Williams is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Riley is working an open guard so Williams takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Riley moves into the clinch successfully.
Riley changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Williams fights it off and pushes away nicely.
No luck for Riley with that takedown attempt.
Walter Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Billy Riley.

Riley tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Williams counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Riley fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Williams avoids it really well and circles away.
Riley misses with a takedown attempt - Williams sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Williams lunges at Riley with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Riley's hand.

Riley wants to clinch up but Williams keeps it at a distance.
Williams connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Williams stalks Riley and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Riley's face. Riley staggers backwards, shaken.
Williams is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Williams connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Riley's hands.
Williams lands a body shot.
Williams fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Riley looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Riley shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Williams is trying to defend but Riley finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Williams is doing well to control the position and prevent Riley from advancing to side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Williams manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Williams lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Riley or not.

Riley is trying to force a seperation but Williams has the dominant position.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Williams.
Williams lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Williams keeps control of Riley as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Williams lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
A nice right hand lands inside from Williams.

Williams breaks the clinch.
The fighters circling - Williams throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Williams changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Williams bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Riley will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Horrible takedown by Riley or perhaps it was just good defense by Williams which made him look bad.
Riley shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Williams will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Williams displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Riley.
Riley bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Williams lands a nice hook to Riley's body. Riley takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Williams lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Riley shoots in for a takedown but Williams shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Williams scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Riley doesn't seem bothered though.

Riley looks winded!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Williams lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Riley takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Riley closes the distance and clinches up with Williams, looking for a takedown. Riley pushes Williams against the cage but Williams circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Williams throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Riley.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Williams smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Riley goes for a double leg but Williams avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Williams continues to drive forward.
Williams lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

Williams breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Riley takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Riley darts in looking for a takedown but Williams gets double underhooks and turns Riley into the cage.

Williams's corner calls for a 1-2. Williams obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Riley tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Williams defends well and Riley ends up having to push Williams into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Riley is breathing heavily.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
A nice right hand lands inside from Williams.
Riley is working for takedown but Williams is calmly controlling the position for now.

Williams is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Williams connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Riley throws a head kick that misses.
Williams connects with a body shot that sends Riley's belly button to the back.
Williams lands a jab to the nose.
Williams cracks Riley with a right hand to the side of the head.

Riley shoots for a takedown but Williams saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Riley seems to have recovered his senses.

Billy Riley is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Williams lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Williams lands a jab to the head.
Walter Williams is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Williams connects with a looping right hand.
Williams swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Riley.

Williams lands a left and a right that send Riley crashing to the mat, dazed. Williams thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Williams jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Williams fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Riley to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Riley looks to clinch but Williams throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Riley taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
