The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
al Din connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Manoel's hands.

It looks like Antonio Manoel has been cut.
Manoel throws an ugly left hook that misses
and al Din counters with a straight right hand.
Antonio Manoel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Manoel misses with the combination.
Manoel throws a hook to the side of al Din's head but al Din sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
al Din tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Manoel was well out of range. Poor timing from al Din.
Manoel fails to land with a series of punches.
al Din throws a low kick, looking for Manoel's leg but Manoel calmly moves out of range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Manoel counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
al Din slips under a jab.
Manoel takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
al Din uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Manoel.

Manoel swings and misses with a hook to the body.
al Din scores with a push kick.
Manoel looks for the body kick but al Din saw that one coming.
al Din ducks under a wild hook from Manoel.
Manoel is looking to clinch.
Manoel moves away from the strike by al Din.
Manoel jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Manoel moves out of range of the body kick from al Din.
Manoel misses with a hook. al Din ducked under it nicely.
al Din pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
al Din looks to score with a jab to the body but Manoel is just out of range.
Manoel takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
al Din fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Manoel.

Manoel throws a front kick aimed at al Din's knee but al Din avoids it well.
Manoel goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

al Din will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Manoel feints a jab promting al Din to slip. Manoel then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. al Din slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

al Din checks the leg kick nicely there.
Manoel throws a right and a left that both miss.
Manoel slips under a jab from al Din.
al Din thows a body shot but no joy.
Both fighters circling a little - al Din finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
al Din walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Manoel drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! al Din swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Manoel's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
