Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brian Braida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyron Woodley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Braida comes to the ring accompanied by Here I am. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brian Braida!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tyron Woodley!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Braida lands a jab to the nose.
Braida looks to throw the jab but Woodley is out of range.
Woodley loads up on a big right hand but Braida slips the punch.
Woodley lands with a nice combination. Braida backs away looking to recover.


It looks like Brian Braida has been cut.
Braida shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Woodley but Woodley pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Braida fails with a takedown attempt.
Braida definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Braida gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Woodley counters with a shoot takedown. Braida fights it but they end up in guard.

Braida escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Woodley gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Braida wants to sweep here but Woodley controlling him for the moment.

Braida escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Woodley gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Braida is looking for a triangle here but Woodley uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Braida tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Woodley wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Braida looking for a sweep but Woodley has passed into full mount! Oh no!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Tyron Woodley will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Braida misses the jab.
Woodley fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Woodley throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Braida sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Braida shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Woodley counters with a head kick. That will keep Braida thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Brian Braida is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Woodley doesn't manage to clinch there - Braida circles away.
Braida looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Nice takedown defense from Woodley. No joy for Braida on that attempt.

Braida is trying to maintain the position but Woodley is very close to passing his half guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Tyron Woodley hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Woodley misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Braida tries to score a power double leg takedown but Woodley sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Braida somewhat.

Woodley displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Braida.
Woodley avoids the head kick by Braida.
A jab lands there for Braida.
Braida ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Woodley moves away.

Woodley drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Braida isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Woodley stacks Braida on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Woodley!

Braida tries to bench press Woodley off him but Woodley keeps the position.
Braida is working hard here to advance position.

Woodley wants to control the pace but Braida is squirming around nicely.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Woodley trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Braida regains full guard. Nicely done.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tyron Woodley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Braida lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Braida doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Woodley counters with a right hand to the body.
Braida throws a sloppy head kick and Woodley moves out of range easily.

Braida gets caught napping as Woodley dives in and scores a takedown. Braida manages to retain guard.

Braida is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Woodley is aware though and is defending well.

Braida looking for a guillotine here but Woodley defends easily.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Woodley is taking a breather. Braida says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Braida has a hand on Woodley's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Woodley takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Woodley cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Woodley is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Braida can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Woodley looking to control but Braida is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Woodley lands a big shot there that rocks Braida but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Braida sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Woodley lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Tyron Woodley is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Braida is looking to improve his position.

I've got Woodley winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
