Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, BJ McGobblecock!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Gregory Folan and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McGobblecock closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Montana is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of McGobblecock's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take McGobblecock's back!

Montana looking to break McGobblecock's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. McGobblecock remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Montana will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A lull in the action here.
McGobblecock felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
McGobblecock covering up well under a barage of strikes.
Will Montana go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
McGobblecock tries to escape but Montana has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McGobblecock just trying to survive but Montana is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Montana looking for the choke from the back.
Montana seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Montana has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, McGobblecock has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
McGobblecock really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Montana. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Montana has his arm under McGobblecock's chin here. Game over son! Montana squeezes tightly and McGobblecock is forced to tap out!
