The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blackburn shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bones's guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Blackburn closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bones to the mat! Bones manages to get full guard.

We're going to have a standup here because Charles Blackburn wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Some wild striking there from Blackburn.

Blackburn fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bones, pushing him back against the cage.
Blackburn tries to stall but Bones uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Blackburn working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Blackburn lands a hook that snaps the head of Bones backwards.
Bones's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Bones wants to break free but Blackburn has control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Blackburn is trying to force a seperation but Bones has the dominant position.
Bones scores with an uppercut up the middle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bones won't enjoy being in this position. Blackburn looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Bones is tapping - it's over boys! Blackburn picks up the submission victory!
