Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eliah Marshal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ross has chosen Neck of the Woods as his entrance music. Mike Ross has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Ross!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ross wants to take a breather but Marshal is having none of it.

Ross is thwarting Marshal's attempts to control the position.
Marshal desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Marshal keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Ross takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Marshal is trying to get back to full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ross lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Ross dominated that round.
That's time! Marshal's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Marshal misses with a double jab.
Ross throws a hook to the side of Marshal's head but Marshal sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Marshal moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Marshal moves away from the strike by Ross.
Ross fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Marshal lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Ross misses with a hook.
Ross connects with a single shot there.
Ross with a jab.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ross lands a big head kick that sends Marshal tumbling to the mat! Ross takes a step backwards and waves Marshal back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Marshal is rocked!
Ross finds Marshal's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Marshal flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Ross lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Marshal will be OK.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mike Ross!
