The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Blackburn!

It looks like Vito Starkard has been cut.

Starkard drives through and clinches with Blackburn against the cage.
Starkard is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Blackburn pulls him back up using the underhooks.
A nice left hand lands by Blackburn.
Starkard is looking for a takedown.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Blackburn wants a takedown but no success here.
Starkard trying to land knees to the body.
Blackburn stalling in the clinch but Starkard improves position.
Starkard has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Blackburn after a bit of a struggle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vito Starkard. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Starkard jumps guard but Blackburn stands there with Starkard around his waist. Starkard gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Starkard is breathing heavily.
Blackburn goes for a takedown attempt but Starkard pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Blackburn throws a nice looking combination but Starkard bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Blackburn should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Starkard moves in looking to clinch but Blackburn pushes him off.

Starkard has managed to clinch.

A bit of stalling here from Blackburn.

Starkard breaks the clinch.
Blackburn with a poor takedown

and Starkard counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Blackburn's guard now.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Starkard won't allow Blackburn to sweep him here.
Starkard trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Blackburn is trying to keep Starkard in close.

Blackburn has his feet on Starkard's thighs here. He's pushed Starkard off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Starkard screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
