Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Luciano Cruz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohammad Pashton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cruz comes to the cage accompanied by Smack That. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz throws a body punch but Pashton moves out of range.
Mohammad Pashton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cruz closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pashton circles away.
Cruz dives in for a single leg takedown but Pashton sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Cruz pulls Pashton into guard.
Pashton trying to stand up but can't free himself from Cruz's guard.
Pashton won't allow Cruz to sweep him here.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cruz is on top in guard.

Pashton is looking for a triangle but Cruz pushes his legs off easily.
Cruz seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cruz decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Pashton, up you get!

Pashton slaps away a takedown attempt from Cruz, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luciano Cruz. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Cruz counters with a head kick. That will keep Pashton thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Pashton gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Cruz to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Cruz is sitting in close to Pashton's body. Pashton has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Cruz is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Cruz is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Pashton.
