Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Havvik Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Teixeira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Brown. No joy for Teixeira on that attempt.
Teixeira closes the distance and clinches up with Brown, looking for a takedown. Teixeira pushes Brown against the cage but Brown circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Brown could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Teixeira walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Brown lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Teixeira backs up against the cage.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Brown.
Brown throws a shot from downtown. Teixeira moves away and avoids it.

Teixeira bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Teixeira is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Brown knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Teixeira has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Brown regains guard immediately.

Teixeira looking to sit in guard and control but Brown gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brown slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Teixeira has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Brown is working away from the top position though.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Teixeira is trying to control but can't.
Teixeira keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Teixeira wants to control but Brown is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Teixeira had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Brown is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Teixeira Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Brown's back instead.
Teixeira tries to get the hooks in deep but Brown pushed the leg off.

Teixeira has got his arm under Brown's chin working for the choke… has he got it? It looks pretty tight! Oh! Brown has spun round into Teixeira's guard beautifully! Well done that man!
