The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Steve Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from McCarthy.

McCarthy fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jaxee, pushing him back against the cage.

McCarthy escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jaxee throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jaxee scores with a jab. McCarthy acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
McCarthy throws a head kick that Jaxee semi-blocks.
Jaxee throws a jab but it's blocked by McCarthy.
McCarthy has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Jaxee finds it's way round the side to connect with McCarthy's head.

McCarthy rushes Jaxee and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

McCarthy ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. McCarthy no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

McCarthy is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Jaxee defends well.

Jaxee is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

McCarthy has his foot on Jaxee's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jaxee works his way back into a safe position though.

Jaxee might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control McCarthy haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Stacee Jaxee wasn't active enough on the ground.
Jaxee works McCarthy's body with a nice hook.

Jaxee throws out a loose jab but McCarthy uses good head movement to avoid it.
No joy there for Jaxee, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

McCarthy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Nice uppercut lands for Jaxee. That snapped McCarthy's head back.

Jaxee lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

McCarthy is rocked!
Jaxee throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Oh McCarthy is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jaxee throws a series of punches but McCarthy moves out of range.
McCarthy seems to have got his legs back now.
Jaxee works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Jaxee scores with a nice right hand.
Jaxee throws a leg kick but McCarthy sees it coming and moves out of range.
Jaxee cracks McCarthy with an open hand slap.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
McCarthy misses with a hook.
Jaxee throws a jab when McCarthy was well out of range.
No luck with that takedown attempt from McCarthy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stacee Jaxee dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Jaxee throws a looping overhand right but McCarthy ducks down to avoid it.
Jaxee looks to score with a jab to the body but McCarthy is just out of range.
Some bone on bone action there as McCarthy checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Jaxee gets caught flat footed, as McCarthy shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

McCarthy stands up and waves to Jaxee to follow him.
Jaxee changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

McCarthy shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. McCarthy showed some decent athleticism there.
McCarthy lands strikes from half guard.

Jaxee is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of McCarthy's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take McCarthy's back!

Jaxee is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but McCarthy has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Jaxee is cranking McCarthy's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for McCarthy! He's tightened the choke and McCarthy is tapping out!
