The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slone throws a chopping leg kick but Briggs manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Slone clobbers Briggs with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Briggs changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Slone tries to avoid it but Briggs manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Slone to the ground. Slone escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Slone makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Slone will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Briggs up against the cage.
Slone tries to land a knee to the head but Briggs blocks with his arms.
Briggs wants to get back to striking at distance but Slone won't allow it.

Briggs throws a hook but Slone avoids it easily.
