The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurström and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nelson just misses with a punch to the body.
Nelson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

It looks like Gunnar Nelson has been cut.
Nelson slips a straight right by Silakka.
Silakka fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Silakka moves out of range of the body kick.
Silakka throws a jab but it's blocked by Nelson.
Nelson checks a low kick from Silakka.
Nelson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Simo Silakka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silakka throws a front kick that sends Nelson stumbling back into the cage.
Silakka on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Nelson. Nelson obviously looking to wear him down.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Silakka looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Nelson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Silakka lands a nice shot to the body.
Nelson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Silakka takes a kick to the side of the head.
Silakka takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Nelson avoids a punch combination nicely.

Silakka swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Nelson counters with a nice body kick.
Silakka throws a nice inside leg kick.
Nelson blocks a leg kick.
Silakka feints and then cracks Nelson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Nelson down.
Silakka misses with a lunging right hand
and Nelson counters with a body kick that stops Silakka in his tracks momentarily.
Silakka will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A head kick misses from Silakka.
Nelson throws a lazy head kick
and Silakka counters with a leg kick.
Both fighters circling a little - Silakka finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Simo Silakka is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Silakka with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Silakka looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Nelson throws a hook but Silakka avoids it easily.
Silakka throws a low kick but it's checked well by Nelson.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nelson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Silakka was well out of range. Poor timing from Nelson.
Silakka takes a swing at Nelson's ribcage but misses.
Silakka misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Nelson.
Nelson does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
The crowd cheers as Nelson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Silakka doesn't seem phased though.

and Nelson counters with a big slam. Silakka looks out but Nelson is landing strikes to his unconscious opponent! Eventually the ref steps in to save Silakka from any more punishment. A brutal conclusion to the fight!
