The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romanov stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Romanov connects with a leg kick. Tanner looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Tanner takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Romanov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Romanov scores with a nice right hand.
Tanner throws a jab but it's blocked by Romanov.
Romanov throws a right and a left that both miss.
Tanner tries to clinch up but Romanov circles away and keeps his distance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Tanner throws a right hand that Romanov ducks under and follows up with a left that Romanov also avoids with ease.
Romanov is looking to slow Tanner down with leg kicks.
Romanov misses the shot to the body.
Tanner avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

The fight stays on the outside here - Tanner looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Romanov throws a lazy right hand but Tanner sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Tanner throws a leg kick but Romanov checks it.
Tanner tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Romanov was well out of range. Poor timing from Tanner.
Romanov needs to keep his hands up - Tanner had a free shot at his head there.
Tanner moves into range and connects with a jab.
Tanner throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Romanov sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Tanner is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Romanov.
Tanner tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Romanov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Romanov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tanner circles away quickly and effectively.

Romanov drops Tanner with a beautiful combination! Tanner stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Romanov is looking for the KO!

It looks like Dick Tanner has been cut.
