And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 wins, 6 losses and 0 draws, fighting out of New York, Grant Fortune!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.



The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castro rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Fortune moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Castro misses with a low kick as Fortune jumps back.

Fortune closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Castro connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Fortune looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Castro throws the kick towards the body but Fortune avoids it.
Castro throws out a leg kick but Fortune moves out of range and Castro only half commits.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Castro lunges at Fortune with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Fortune's hand.
Fortune wants to land a leg kick but Castro is out of range.
Fortune looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Castro is fending him off so far but Fortune persists. Nope, Castro circles away and we're back to standing.

Castro changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Fortune throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Castro's waist but Castro gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fortune off to one side.
Giovani Castro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Grant Fortune.
Castro lands with an overhand left.
Giovani Castro is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Castro does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Fortune staying out of range there.

Fortune moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Castro just misses with a punch to the body.

Castro manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Fortune manages to get himself to full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Fortune is on top in guard.

Fortune not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fortune looking to sit in guard and control but Castro gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Fortune tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Fortune is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Giovani Castro will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Fortune looks up at the clock and then as Castro takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Fortune smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Fortune lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Castro is rocked!
Fortune cracks Castro with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
