The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Greywar throws a right and a left that both miss.
Pongolle looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Greywar tries to bum rush Pongolle with a series of wild strikes but Pongolle uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Pongolle looks for a takedown but Greywar sprawls well.
Pongolle looks for the body kick but Greywar saw that one coming.
Greywar tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pongolle sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Greywar somewhat.

Pongolle shoots in and drives through. Greywar sprawls well.
River Greywar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jean Pierre Pongolle.
Pongolle tries to score a power double leg takedown but Greywar sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pongolle somewhat.

Pongolle throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Greywar was covering up waiting for the punch and Pongolle finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Pongolle wants to control from the top but Greywar keeps moving.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Greywar is on top in guard.
Greywar won't allow Pongolle to sweep him here.

Greywar seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Pongolle is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

After the fight, River Greywar was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
