Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cray Daddy Tay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kid Vera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tay's entrance music is JJ - Ecstasy. A fine choice. Vera comes into a darkened arena with his song building. You are just a JOKE! kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vera changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Tay tries to avoid it but Vera manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Tay to the ground. Tay escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Vera fails with a takedown attempt.
Kid Vera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tay throws an overhand right that lands on Vera's shoulder, as Vera tries to avoid the shot.
Vera looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Cray Daddy Tay has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kid Vera.

Tay uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Tay sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Vera's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tay is pressing down on Vera's thigh, looking to free his foot. Vera is holding on for now.

Vera has a hand on Tay's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Tay takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Tay can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Vera is looking to escape.
Poor strikes thrown by Tay there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Tay tries to control but Vera wriggling away.
Tay throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Vera because Tay loaded up on that one.
Vera is squirming around, avoiding Tay's attempts to control the action.

Tay has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Tay's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

A big strike lands for Tay! That's really hurt Vera and he's turned his back - Tay keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Tay jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
