PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Dave Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cuvaj Glavu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Glavu is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Born to be Wild. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards misses with a body shot.
Edwards throws a head kick but Glavu moves out of range.

Glavu lands with a nice combination. Edwards backs away looking to recover.

A bone on bone clash there as Edwards blocks the leg kick.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Glavu trying to control the position but instead, Edwards has worked for underhooks and has pushed Glavu into the ropes.

Edwards pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Cuvaj Glavu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Glavu thuds his right hand into Edwards's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Glavu. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Glavu fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Edwards has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Glavu connects with a leg kick. Edwards looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Oh Edwards is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Glavu digs a good hook to Edwards's body.
Glavu connects with a crushing straight, right on the bridge of Edwards's nose, sending him crumpling to the mat! That's really rocked Edwards - is he going to beat the count??? 4,5,6,7,8,9.....10 - he's not made it - this one is all over!
