Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alex Mercer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anton Zeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zeman has chosen The Who - My Generation as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Mercer misses.
Zeman tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Mercer counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Zeman thinking.
Zeman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Mercer lands a jab to the nose.
Zeman throws a body punch but Mercer moves out of range.
Mercer thuds a left hand into Zeman's body.
Mercer is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Zeman.

Mercer misses the shot to the body.
Zeman fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Zeman shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mercer pinned against the cage. Mercer gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Mercer swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Mercer bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Zeman on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Mercer gets tackled into the cage by Zeman. Zeman maintains the clinch.

Mercer throws an overhand right that lands on Zeman's shoulder, as Zeman tries to avoid the shot.

Nice defenses there by Zeman.
Mercer tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Zeman throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Horrible takedown by Zeman or perhaps it was just good defense by Mercer which made him look bad.
Zeman shoots in for a takedown but Mercer shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Zeman lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Zeman closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Zeman is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mercer has escaped the position, nice work there.

Zeman tries to move to mount but Mercer blocks the move with his legs.

Alex Mercer opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
