PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jaius Garcius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Hungus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Garcius might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to When by Opeth. Hungus is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Marilyn Manson - Sweet Dreams. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jaius Garcius!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Karl Hungus!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shirou Masuda and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcius tries to work over Hungus's front leg with a kick but Hungus checks it.
Garcius moves in looking to clinch but Hungus pushes him off.
Hungus shoots in looking for a takedown but Garcius manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hungus's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Hungus shoots in and drives through. Garcius sprawls well.

Garcius closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Garcius lands in his opponent's guard.

Hungus escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Garcius gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hungus has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Garcius can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Garcius has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Hungus to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Garcius is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Hungus pulls down on the head and he's put Garcius to sleep! This one is all over!
