Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Svend Sved (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Cronos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cronos has chosen Bad Habits as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Svend Sved!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jose Cronos!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cronos swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cronos fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sved tries to clinch but Cronos moves out of range.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sved looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Cronos swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Cronos shoots in for a takedown but Sved shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Sved fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cronos looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Cronos swats away the attempt to clinch by Sved.
Svend Sved seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cronos takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Sved darts in and clinches Cronos up against the ropes.
Sved lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Cronos backwards.
Cronos dodges an elbow strike from Sved.
A head punch on the inside from Sved fails to land.
Cronos takes an elbow to the forehead.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee is keeping an eye on Sved - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Sved misses with a short punch on the inside.
Sved swings wildly with an uppercut but Cronos uses good head movement to avoid it.
Sved using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Cronos has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Sved misses with an elbow over the top.
Sved throws an elbow but it misses.

Sved's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sved throws a lazy right hand but Cronos sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Cronos slips under a jab from Sved.
Svend Sved is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Sved tries to bum rush Cronos with a series of wild strikes but Cronos uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Sved throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Cronos counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cronos slips a jab and a cross from Sved.
Sved loads up on a big right hand but Cronos slips the punch.
Sved looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Sved tries to clinch up but Cronos circles away and keeps his distance.
Sved tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cronos swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Cronos swats away the attempt to clinch by Sved.
Cronos throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sved's waist but Sved gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Cronos off to one side.
Sved throws a poor cross that misses

and Cronos counters with a shoot takedown. Sved fights it but they end up in guard.
Sved might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cronos passes Sved's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Sved knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Cronos on the ground.

Cronos is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Cronos is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sved doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Cronos.
Sved is trying is best to control the position here.
Cronos missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Sved on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Sved tries to get out of the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sved is staying active underneath Cronos, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Cronos throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Cronos in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Sved tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Cronos!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jose Cronos!
A very excited looking Jose Cronos rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
