Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between J J Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pithe Canthropus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Canthropus has chosen Pizzaman - Trippin' On Sunshine as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Walker got a little sloppy there for a moment and Canthropus has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Walker has managed to get both his arms back between Canthropus's legs - danger averted.

Canthropus escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Walker gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Canthropus working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Walker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Walker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Canthropus pushes Walker away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Walker gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Canthropus avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Walker.
Walker throws an elbow but Canthropus slips to the side and avoids it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Walker walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Canthropus checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Walker sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Canthropus takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Well Canthropus has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
